Support Roles
TicketByte supports multiple support roles per server. Any user with at least one configured role is treated as support staff.
Configuring in the dashboard
- Go to Dashboard → Roles tab
- Use the dropdown to add roles — each appears as a pill tag
- Or paste a Role ID in the text field and press Enter
- Remove a role by clicking × on its pill
- Click Save Settings
What support roles allow
- See and chat in all ticket channels
- Run staff commands: /claim, /close, /priority, /tag, /add, /remove, /transfer
- Access the server dashboard
Mention on open
When Mention Support on Open is enabled, all configured support roles are pinged with a message when a new ticket is created. Discord's allowedMentions is set to ensure the pings notify properly.
Manage Server always works
Users with Manage Server permission are always treated as staff regardless of role configuration.
